Terms of Reference

  1. The majority of the membership of the PSG shall consist of parents with children studying or have studied in PRPS.
  2. The PSG and its members shall not discriminate against any individuals for reasons of race, national origin, color, religion, gender, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, and/or ability status.
  3. The period of service as PSG member with Pasir Ris Primary School will start from 15 February until 14 February of the following year.
  4. PSG member status will be reviewed by the PSG EXCO in November each year. The renewal of PSG member status for the following year is based on recommendations made by the current PSG EXCO based on participation of the member in the serving year. The school will reserve the right for the final endorsement.
  5. Upon renewal of PSG member status, a new Parent Volunteer Pass (PVP) will be issued to them in Mar/Apr for the new school year.
  6. The recruitment of PSG Member scheme is solely based on the school’s need.
  7. The PVP is for identification purposes as well as to allow the PSG member to gain access into the school. However, they are required to register their attendance in the ‘PSG Attendance File’ at the Security Post before proceeding for their respective duties.
  8. PSG members are required to display their PVP at all times while in the school premises. The PVP allows the PSG members to purchase food and drinks from the school canteen on days when they are reporting for duties.
  9. PSG members are advised against entering into the Learning Blocks except when they are on official PSG duty.
  10. PSG members are discouraged from remaining in the school beyond the need of the area of service rendered.
  11. Any personal or private arrangement for PSG support is strictly not allowed. All requests for PSG support must be made formally to school PSG coordinators namely, Mrs Gillian Quek, Mdm Kamariah Othman, PSG Advisors, Mdm Siti Arfah Senin and Mdm Sharon Lim
  12. Once the request for support is approved, teachers making the arrangement will be the liaison officer(s) to their assigned PSG member(s).
